The list of speakers this year just gets longer and longer, which means the amount of interesting talks just keeps increasing. I’ve made a list of talks that I want to listen to. I have 11 that I am definitely going to tune in to check them out and 8~9 that seems interesting and I will check’em out if I have the time. The few that I’m really looking forward to are :

  1. The Linguistic Divide of the Two Koreas by Judy Um
  2. Empowering Both Language Learners & Teachers Through Language Coaching Techniques by
    Marjolein Benschop
  3. Xenophobia as an Obstacle to Learning or Speaking a Foreign Language by Svetlana Erozgen
  4. App Design for the World: Considering Languages, Scripts and Digital Literacy by Lindie Botes
  5. Navigating Your Voice in Multilingual Pursuits- Skills Workshop by Sarah Lobegeiger de
    Rodriguez

There are SO many interesting talks this year and I’m really looking forward to this Friday (Saturday in my area) for the conference! :laughing:

The list of speakers just got longer! There are 101 of them (yes! I counted!). I was initially a little disappointed that it’s gonna be held online this year but I guess it’s a blessing in disguise. 101 talks and presentations! ~30% of them are in my “must-watch” list and more than half of the remaining I am interested in watching. I guess the 10 days will be spent solely on binge watching these talks and presentations! I’m so excited that I kept checking my mail to see if the link to the live environment has been sent out (even though it will be sent out on Friday) :sweat_smile:

I want to hear both @HyperpolyglotActivis in Judeo-Spanish and also @JudyUm about the linguistic split between the two Koreas after the Korean War.

It’s not the same to count the different videos as separate videos than the number of speakers.
If we count the videos, we count 101, but if we count the speakers we are 82.

Yes! The linguistic divide of the two koreas by Judy Um is the talk that I look forward to the most for the conference! As a Korean myself and also a Korean language teacher, I’m very excited for this talk!
I’m looking forward to your talk too even with my almost non-existent level of Spanish :rofl: :+1:t2:
