I am native Spanish and finding all the False Friends between Italian and Spanish quite comical and somewhat challenging.
Por ejemplo ‘Aceite’ in Spanish means oil but Italian means Vinegar. WHAT?!! So ideally you speak English too as a Lingua Franca …
and italian aceto (which looks to a hispano-hablante like ‘aceite’) is actually vinegar. Duh… I did not see that coming.
If anyone needs practice to get to grips with these linguistic faux pas, or to do a language exchange and practice get in touch please.
