Found a language guessing game, haven’t tried it yet but it seems fun: https://lingyourlanguage.com

Thank you all for being there, I really enjoy hanging out with y’all

Regarding next week, we were thinking of trying new games. We discussed playing Mafia or Avalon, which work if there are at least 5 players. Avalon would be better in that there is no need for a moderator, meaning that everyone can play (unlike Mafia where one person has to be the mayor). I will think of more ideas during the week, but if anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free to share!

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed my first time in the games group and I’ll be back whenever I can.

Special thanks to my brilliant team-mates in the ‘famous people’ Taboo round - Sachi (who had proved in the previous game that you don’t have to be a native speaker to be the best describer), Astari the answering machine (that’s meant as a compliment ), who seemed to be able to guess the people we were describing even when we didn’t get the details right, and Yvonne, who found such inventive ways to describe the people none of us had been able to guess before.

I’ve spoken with our regular game night participants, and it seems that there is a general consensus for social deduction games, so let’s try playing Avalon/Werewolf this weekend!

We do need at least 5 people for Avalon and Werewolf, so if we don’t have enough people, we can switch over to Codenames. If we all have a foreign language in common, we could also try playing in that foreign language, since there is the option to choose the language of the game for Codenames.

I hope to see many of you there this weekend!

Thanks for being there guys! I had a lot of fun, even though I was completely tricked, especially by @DJWaaleyBabu

On the bright side, now I know the body language to look out for when Aniko, Sachi, and DJ lie! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hahaha there is no body language to look out for as we’re completely inscrutable.

Not that it uses any languages at all, but perhaps we can try Among Us sometimes too. The rounds are very quick, like a few minutes. Looking forward to the next meeting!

Hahaha I think there’s a chat in Among Us though, so we could write in that in different languages
