Italki Teacher-Led Language Practice Rooms

Hi all!

When we started the Polyglot Conference, we had a handful of teachers (mainly the ones who have featured Talks) that were willing to also volunteer their time to lead italki Teacher Led Practice Rooms.

As Richard has stated, this year’s Polyglot Conference is breaking down the conference norms. Now participants can creating and add to the schedule.

If you are an italki Teacher and would like to volunteer your time and lead a room, it’s a great way to get some exposure, potential student and just have a great time meeting people sharing the language that you teach. Or if you’re an italki Student (like me), maybe you can convince your teacher to volunteer his / her time.

Run an italki Teacher Led Practice Room in italki Mercury University by filling out this form and scheduling it for later this week and it will go up on the schedule.

Benefits are:

  • Your italki Teacher Led Language Practice session will be shared on the schedule
  • Your italki Teacher URL will be listed
  • You’ll be contribute to make the conference just better for everyone.

I’ve convinced a couple of my Japanese and Vietnamese teachers (the languages I’m learning on italki) to volunteer in hopes of getting them more students too :). They are awesome teachers.

Thanks for the info, I’ve just sent it to my Arabic and French teachers as well, maybe one of them is interested

That’s great! They need to sign up for the conference too so there is a lot of education that is involved. My teacher initially was “What is this event about? What’s going on? You want me to do what?”
The good thing is that if they lead a language practice room, they’ll get the exposure as their teacher URL is listed and potentially some new students.
