Hello everyone! I’m Christine from Luxembourg. I had the fortune to grow up with 3 languages: Luxembourgish, French and German. I also learned English, Spanish (both C2) and Latin (very rusty by now) in high school. I’ve been obsessed with languages for as long as I can remember, which is probably why I decided to study translation. I’ve been working as a freelance translator, specialising in legal translation, since 2006.
I’ve also taught myself Italian to an advanced level (C1), have a semi-decent level of Dutch (B2), forgot most of the Russian I learned ages ago (A2) and I’m currently working on getting my Mandarin Chinese to HSK level 3. I know bits of Indonesian, Portuguese and Catalan and hope to have the time to study them more seriously one day, in addition to the dozen or so other languages that are tempting me. The Polyglot Conference is definitely not helping with my linguistic wanderlust
