Hi there! I’m Abril, but you can call me April! I am 25 years old and I live in Buenos Aires. I’ve always liked languages but laziness controlled my life lol I’ve been studying Turkish for a month and I must say I’m quite obssesed about it. I’m native Spanish speaker, in primary school I have studied English. I’ve also studied Korean for two years and that was what made it easier for me to understand the structure of Turkish. My main problem with Turkish is that I can’t decipher the accent and the cadence when I speak… if that makes any sense. Can someone recommend me a podcast in Turkish? I just need to hear it daily to get used to it

Hi April, I’m also learning Turkish. There’s also a practice thread for it, which is not so active as there aren’t as many people as in the other languages. You can check that out.
To find easy texts to read and listen to at the same time, you can use LingQ. There are these channels on YouTube for learning Turkish:
I like this channel. It’s meant for native speakers though and the content is too advanced for me, but they usually have subtitles in Turkish and the plug-in Learning Languages with Netflix (which allows you to look up words and get translations for subtitles) now also works for YouTube. Anyways, if you mostly just want to listen to people speak to get into the sound, it’s probably good:
There are also quite a few Turkish shows on Netflix. Turkey has a huge telenovela industry which you’re probably aware of, because I believe they’re big in South America. My Bolivian mother in law is a big fan. Netflix also has Turkish shows that are not so much telenovela. I quite enjoyed Muhafız and Atiye.

I was not aware of LingQ, I will try.
Oh, I know, I have been recommended to watch telenovelas but the truth is that I never watch series so I prefer tv shows or podcasts.
