Any active language learning/polyglot communities?

I must say that I’m really enjoying the vibe of this conference. Therefore I’m asking myself if there are any active online communities where language learners/polyglots meet (and motivate) these days?

Hi Nora. I’ve also enjoyed the community aspect of this conference. Our fellow conference attendee @DrDan just launched an online community to connect and motivate language learners. Like any new site, it needs a critical mass of members. I joined and it looks very promising. Costs US$10 per year but part of that goes to fund the preservation of endangered languages.

The site is at http://next-word.mn.co/

Hey Nora!

I’ve launched an online community this year. It is also still new, but designed to connect language learners through games, a discussion forum, and TV club. There’s a free membership option as well as a premium option for special perks. Check it out! www.polyglotstation.com

The most active polyglot communities I have found are on Discord, for instance, the Brazilian polyglot club has several meetings every day: https://discord.gg/bMBCB3p (For example, on Tuesdays, they have a French, an Esperanto, a Russian, a Spanish and a Dutch meeting, and that’s only one day of the week, imagine the full calendar!)

For those who like forums, the Language leaners forum is active https://forum.language-learners.org/ (formely known as the forum from How-to-learn-any-language)

I also recommend unilang.org, Polyglots and Omniglot group on Facebook (there are also a variety of spin-offs Polyglot memes, off-topic, Polyglots The Community).
