Hello lovely people from all around the world.

I am currently ‘stuck’ in my homeland as traveling is not an option atm…

I used to live in France, UK and the Czech Republic.
I loved living in the UK the most - I love British humor and people are so nice and friendly there.

Apart from languages and traveling I like socializing with friends, dancing (salsa, bachata, electro swing…) and making people laugh :slight_smile:

I am working for an American international company in Procurement so I am communicating with my US based colleagues daily.
We are responsible for a French client and its suppliers from all over the world.

We also have a team in India so I love to have a chance to be connected with colleagues from all over the world on daily basis.

While at university I was lucky enough to participated in a great project where we have translated modern Slovak short stories into French. It was published in 2 publication.
The book is called: Mosaïque de littérature slovaque contemporaine (Mozaika súčasnej slovenskej literatúry) but I do not think its possible to find online version of it which is a bit shame.
I will ask my teacher if there will be any online versions available and let you know.
As we have literature in Slovakia too :slight_smile: and I would love to share it (even for free if possible)

By the way, volám sa Alanood and I‘ve been to Slovakia, Bratislava around 6 years ago and I fall in love since then :heart_eyes:.

Ahoj Jana! I’ve only been to Slovakia once, when I took a daytrip to Bratislava to Vienna, armed with nothing more than a few phrases in Slovak. I would love to return - I know the High Tatras are especially beautiful. Hopefully next time I will be able to speak a little more! :crossed_fingers:

Bola som v Bratislave trikrát a tiež naučila som sa len trochu po slovensky. Bohužiaľ, nemala som veľa času, a teraz skoro zabudla som všetko :unamused:

Hi Jana. Welcome.

I like salsa a lot, as well as Lindy and blues. I have not heard about dancing to electro swing, but I do like some of the music. I also love tango, and can’t wait for the pandemic to be over and travel for dancing. How’s the dance scene in Slovakia?
