Raising polyglot children?

I always speak to my child in Spanish and my husband (British) speaks to him in English since he was born. We live in China so he is learning Chinese and French as a foreign language at school. It’s amazing how children can learn languages so easily. But in my experience it’s essential always to be consistent and not switching language and expose him to the language (through live situations, games, tv etc).

This is great! So many languages at a young age - fantastic!

Yes consistency is very important

Hi @ashli.mason,

Have you been able to access the polyglot conference space? I haven’t seen you yet in any of the chat rooms.

I am interested in talking more about this topic with you. Let me know if and when you plan to chat.

Whoever else here would like to meet for further discussion of this topic, I would be more than happy to connect at a time, convenient for all of us.

Let me know!

Hi Zeina!
No, I cannot access yet. I never received the link for accessing the live platform.
Someone else tried sharing the link with me and I was able to get on the platform but then it says I’m not registered on the polyglotconference website (which I obviously am )
I emailed Richard…so we will see if I can access it before the event is over.
I would love to chat with you more! I will send you the link to my facebook page and if you have facebook you can add me as a friend that way you can always chat with me when you want

Wanted to chat a little longer today, but I had to leave the chat room to talk to my husband.

Anyhow, now that you are able to access the conference, I believe we will be able to chat some other time.

Let me know when and if you are available!

Have you ever thought of establishing a multilingual primary school where you live in Quebec? Because I would definitely send my children there!

*Well… when I’ll have children

Even bilingual curriculums are causing headaches to school boards, do you think they’ll let me create a multilingual one!? Ha ha.
